When I was the chaplain in The Algarve, Portugal, I often celebrated weddings in many settings.
On the beach, in a castle, in a court yard, a private villa, to name just a few venues.
In order, however, to comply with English Law couples would have been already legally married at a Registry Office or just before the Wedding Ceremony. Often couples I saw would have gone to Gibraltar or gone to a Registrar here in UK to comply with the law. After that I would conduct a Wedding Service, which could be traditional, or personalised with vows etc. I can use religious language, but that does not fit for everyone and so an individually designed ceremony can be produced to suit you.
If you are in a same-sex relationship the above applies for a wedding or a civil partnership.
You do not, however, need to go abroad for this to happen, and I can conduct the same sort of ceremony here in the UK in whatever venue you wish, and it does not have to be a venue with licence.

If you are entering into a second or subsequent marriages you can avail yourselves of this service, and if there are children they can take part in the ceremony, as can other family members.
Such a service is so flexible and I would be happy to talk you through all that is required so that your day indeed is a special day.
